Hello everyone!!! Welcome to my new blog, Comfort in Chaos. (that is still in the works so bear with me, please!)
I felt it was time for a change. I was in a blogging rut, I didn't know what direction I wanted to take my blog, and the old name, Ribbons and Rotor Blades, didn't seem as fitting anymore.
I truly loved Ribbons and Rotor Blades, but the title was a little too focused. While being a cancer survivor and a military family are parts of my identity, they are just that; a small part of my life and my identity. I wanted a name that would encompass every bit of my life; My life as a cancer survivor, Naval aviation family, mama to a tiny tornado of a little boy as well as two pointers, long distance friend and family member, and so much more.
Each of those things brings so much chaos to my life. But that chaos, while stressful and challenging at times, is also beautiful. It's all in how you look at things. Me? I choose to find the beauty of our everyday chaos.
Honestly, chaos is all I know these days. It's what brings me comfort. Do I have it all figured out? Hell no! But this is my life and I love it. When life slows down (ha! who are we kidding, that never happens), I'm left a little confused. I don't know where to go or what to do.
But this crazy life I have? It's beautiful and joyous and brings me comfort.
So sit back, pour some wine, and follow along as I chronicle our lives; the good, the bad, the challenging, the joyous, the funny, and the mundane.
